I just wanted to pop round to say a quick thanks to whichever kind, anonymous soul nominated Hand to Hand, Hand to Mouth for a UFO Award. It hasn't been seconded, but I quite appreciate the gesture. Particularly considering that it's the only X-Men story there.

I meant to post this recommendation earlier but it slipped my mind. hotelmontana responded to my That's Your Fic! challenge with her usual aplomb. It's called This Time Next Year and is a fill-in of Wolverine #75. It is poignant, utterly in character and just lovely. She writes the Logan I wish I could and I fangirl her madly for it.

In remix_redux, I was the recipient of a wonderful retelling of Burn Your Starry Crown. It's a second person narrative, which I normally loathe, but which makes wonderful sense in this instance. Claire writes a poignant outside view of the post-war characterization from my story, that is made more compelling by the useage of that style of narration. It was a rather daring risk that paid off quite fully.

On a personal note, it never ceases to amuse me that Burn Your Starry Crown is both my best and most popular fic. It was written in approximately fifteen minutes with no real knowledge of Harry Potter canon other than an inspirational viewing of the fim adaptation of Prisoner of Azkaban. I've never been able to top it.

Urm. I've just realized that I didn't leave a note for my remixer.  Is it proper etiquette to put one up as it is with other ficathons?  Oh dear.  I do hate to be rude.

Therefore, dearest remixer, here is your letter.  I don't have a safe story.  Use whatever you'd like.  That's for the content as well.  Remix whatever bit strikes your fancy.   Even if it's just a theme.  I do gravitate in the direction of creepy love and most of my stories reflect that.  There's a fair amount of underage sex, incest and clone love.  I do apologise if that makes your work a bit squicky at the onset.  I might suggest avoiding the "Novocaine" stories, if you are a bit scared of the ick.
